Ian Irvine, an Australian marine scientist, has also written 31 novels and a book of short stories.
Ian is best known for his Three Worlds epic fantasy sequence for older readers, which has been published in many languages and has sold over a million copies. Book 1 of the long-awaited sequel to The View from the Mirror quartet, The Summon Stone, will be published by Hachette in May 2016. http://www.ian-irvine.com/threeworlds.html
Ian has also written a trilogy of eco-thrillers, Human Rites, set in a near-future Earth suffering catastrophic climate change. Ominously, many of the things he wrote about in the first editions, published between 2000 and 2004, have since come true. http://www.ian-irvine.com/humanrites.html
Ian has written 13 novels for younger readers: the Sorcerer’s Tower quartet, the Grim and Grimmer quartet and the Runcible Jones quartet, and The Last Christmas. You can find out more about these books here: Children's Books by Ian
